Donations of toys and food double in 2006 in SJFCU's Deptford, NJ -- (December 14, 2006) -- Employees and members of South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) donated more than $3,000 worth of new toys and non-perishable food items this holiday season, to be distributed to area families in need. The items - contributed by nearly 100 credit union employees and scores of SJFCU members - were part of the credit union's annual Holiday Donation Drive. The $3,000-plus total raised in 2006 is nearly double the amount raised last year. All items donated at the Deptford office will be distributed to area families in need by the Gloucester County Board of Social Services The Camden and Cumberland Boards of Social Services will distribute items donated at the Camden and Vineland branches, respectively. The Atlantic Board of Social Services will distribute items donated at the Shore Mall and Pleasantville branches. The various county Boards of Social Services will collect all toys and food items Dec. 20 for distribution to local families just prior to Christmas.
