Seven Local Students Earn Scholarships
from South Jersey Federal Credit Union

Deptford, NJ – (June 23, 2008) – South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) awarded scholarships to seven South Jersey graduating seniors for the 2008-2009 academic year at their chosen institutions of higher education.

The recipients, their hometowns and high schools, the college/university they plan to attend and the amount of their scholarships are:

Kevin McClain	Northfield	St. Augustine Prep	Boston College	$1,000

Allison Murawski	Turnersville	Washington Twp.	Dickinson College	$1,000

Courtney Holtaway	Turnersville	Washington Twp.	Rutgers University	$500

Rachel Brown	Stratford	Haddonfield Mem’l	Fordham University	$500

Stephanie Bayruns	Westmont	Haddon Township	Muhlenberg College	$250

Jico Baligod	Brigantine	Atlantic City	Rowan University	$250

Kasey Knoell	Brigantine	Atlantic City	University of Virginia	$250

Applicants for the scholarships were selected on the basis of both subjective criteria, such as essays, and objective criteria including high school academic performance, extracurricular/community activities and teacher references.

The scholarship recipients gathered at SJFCU headquarters office in Deptford recently to receive their awards from Benjamin T. Griffith, SJFCU president and CEO.
