Six Additional South Jersey Federal Credit Union
Staff Earn NACCC Accreditation

Deptford, NJ – (July 23, 2010) -- The National Association of Certified Credit Counselors (NACCC) awarded six more South Jersey Federal Credit Union employees with accreditation as Certified Credit Counselors.

Successfully completing the course of study and final examination were

  • Danielle Campbell - Loan Interviewer, Deptford branch
  • Linda Maimone - Loan Officer, Voorhees branch
  • Maria McNeely - Loan Interviewer, Pleasantville branch
  • Veronica Ortiz - Assistant Branch Manager, Deptford branch
  • Carmen Quiles – Branch Manager, Camden branch
  • Girlie Vasquez - Branch Manager, Vineland branch

This brings to nine the number of SJFCU staff who have earned the NACCC accreditation designation. The six newest Certified Credit Counselors join the three Deptford-based loan officers who earned the CCC designation earlier this year. This training translates into a useful tool for these employees to offer financial guidance to credit union members.

The NACCC is a non-profit, membership based organization that oversees the continuing education and certification requirements of its members. Among the areas that trained NACCC counselors cover in their course of study before taking the accreditation examination are the Fair Debit Collection Practices Act, detecting harmful spending habits, setting up debt management programs, bankruptcy laws, and negotiating with creditors. In the largely unregulated debt counseling industry, certification by the NACCC remains a gold standard for financial professionals.
