Social Responsibility

This year, due to the pandemic, so many people are unemployed and the stress of the holidays are especially challenging for families struggling just to make ends meet.  In an effort to “give back to the communities” and put smiles on the faces of some children this holiday, the Charitable Journey Committee decided to participate in “Holiday Family Gift Donations” for local families impacted by these hard times. 

The families included 13 children across 5 families, local to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The committee collected donations from employees, and combined with a contribution from South Jersey Federal Credit Union, were able to shop for items that were on each child’s wish list. The items were bought, wrapped, and then distributed to the families, just in time for the holidays.
